Unstable Evolution

Unstable Evolution was released in 2014 as part of the Battle Pack 3: Monster League expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This set was specifically designed for a sealed play format, where players opened packs and built decks on the spot, rather than using pre-constructed collections. The card was originally conceived as an Equip Spell during the GX era of the series, intended to provide a high-risk, high-reward mechanic that could rapidly shift the power dynamics of a duel by resetting a monster's original ATK and DEF to 1000 or 2500.
