Vendread Daybreak

Vendread Daybreak was introduced as a common card in the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin Mega Pack, serving as a support card for the Vendread archetype within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card was originally released as part of the Cybernetic Horizon booster set in 2018 before being reprinted in this commemorative collection, which was designed to celebrate the history of the game by bundling cards from the previous year's major expansions.

The card’s design, featuring the signature necrotic aesthetic of the Vendread zombies, was crafted to provide the archetype with a specific removal effect, allowing players to destroy cards based on the number of ritual-summoned monsters they control. Like much of the artwork produced for the archetype, the illustration leans into a dark, gothic science-fiction theme, which was generally well-received by fans of the series for expanding the tactical versatility of the zombie-type deck during its competitive peak.
