Woodborg Inpachi

Woodborg Inpachi was introduced as part of the Starter Deck: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, released to align with the debut of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's animated series. This iteration of the game shifted the mechanical focus toward the new Synchro Summoning mechanic, and the deck was curated to provide beginners with a balanced foundation of monster types and support cards to introduce the era's faster playstyle.

The character design belongs to the 'Inpachi' series, a thematic group of tree-based spirits characterized by their charred, wood-like appearances. These designs were crafted by the Konami creative team to evoke a rugged, elemental aesthetic that stood out from the more traditional dragons or warriors prevalent in the game. As a common rarity card, it was widely distributed, serving as a functional, low-level monster intended for ease of play rather than tournament-level dominance.
