World Legacy - "World Chalice"

World Legacy - 'World Chalice' was introduced as part of the overarching 'World Legacy' storyline in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, which began in 2017 with the Code of the Duelist booster set. This narrative-driven archetype follows a group of explorers embarking on a quest across a fantasy landscape, with this specific monster representing the foundational unit of the party. It was designed to function as a core engine piece for the World Chalice deck, utilizing its ability to Special Summon allies from the hand to swarm the field for Link Summoning.

The OTS Tournament Pack 7 release in 2018 provided this Super Rare variant as a reward for players participating in Konami's Official Tournament Store events. The artwork, consistent with the rest of the archetype, leans into high-fantasy aesthetics characterized by intricate mechanical armor and ethereal energy flows. While the card's mechanics were initially praised for enabling complex combo chains in competitive play, the design is most frequently noted by collectors for its role in establishing the intricate, multi-year lore that defined the game's aesthetic during the VRAINS era.
