Zexal Construction

Zexal Construction was originally released in the 2013 OCG set Shadow Specters before finding its way to the TCG market. Its inclusion in the 2022 Tin of the Pharaoh's Gods, designated as MP22-EN091, reflects Konami's strategy of reprinting popular support cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal era to make them more accessible to modern players. The design functions as a quintessential utility spell, specifically crafted to search for various Zexal-themed monsters, spells, or traps by trading cards from the hand, thereby thinning the deck and streamlining complex plays.

The card's design is heavily influenced by the lore of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series, focusing on the synergy between Utopia monsters and their associated support. As an Ultra Rare print in the 2022 Tin, it was presented with a glossy finish and foil treatment intended to appeal to both competitive players who required the card for deck consistency and collectors interested in the holographic aesthetic of the set. Upon its wider release, it was well-received by the player base for its ability to enable consistent access to core engine pieces in dedicated deck builds.
