Zexal Catapult

Zexal Catapult was released as part of the Brothers of Legend booster set, which hit North American markets in late 2021. The set was designed to introduce various cards previously exclusive to the Japanese OCG market or featured in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series, serving as a repository for cards that fans had long requested for western play. This specific spell card is designed to support the archetypes associated with the show's protagonist, Yuma Tsukumo, specifically focusing on the Rank-Up mechanics that define the Zexal era of the game.

The card’s illustration leans into the high-tech, futuristic aesthetic characteristic of the Zexal series, employing vibrant colors and mechanical motifs that evoke the transformation sequences of the show’s Xyz monsters. Within the competitive landscape, the card is recognized for its utility in facilitating Xyz summons, though its niche requirements mean it is often sought more by thematic collectors than by top-tier tournament players. Its Ultra Rare status in the Brothers of Legend set ensures it remains a distinct, glossy highlight for those curating a collection focused on anime-accurate decks.
