Zoodiac Barrage

Zoodiac Barrage was originally released as a secret rare in the 2017 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, serving as a reprint of the card’s debut in Raging Tempest. The Zoodiac archetype, introduced during the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V era, was designed around a unique Xyz Summoning mechanic that allowed a single monster to act as an entire engine. This card, a continuous spell, provided the essential consistency needed for the deck by allowing players to destroy a card they controlled to special summon a Zoodiac monster from their deck, effectively kickstarting the archetype's powerful field presence.

The visual design of the card reflects the Zoodiac theme, which centers on members of the Chinese zodiac represented through distinct armor motifs. Created as part of the broader Konami digital card game card pool, Zoodiac Barrage became infamous among the competitive community for its overwhelming utility. Because it enabled explosive turn-one setups, it became a focal point of competitive meta-gaming, ultimately leading to restricted status within the game's official tournament regulations.
