Zoodiac Boarbow

Zoodiac Boarbow was introduced in the 2017 Raging Tempest booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As part of the Zoodiac archetype, the card features an innovative design mechanic that allows players to perform Xyz Summons using only a single Zoodiac monster, drastically accelerating gameplay. The theme draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac, specifically the Year of the Boar, blending traditional astrological motifs with armored, militaristic aesthetics characteristic of the series' competitive meta during the mid-2010s.

The card was illustrated by the Konami design team, who focused on a dynamic, combat-ready appearance to reflect its role as a key tactical piece in Zoodiac strategies. Upon release, the set received significant attention for the sheer competitive dominance of the Zoodiac engine, which redefined tournament standards of the era. While individual Zoodiac cards like Boarbow are distinct for their low-rarity status, they remain central to the set's legacy as one of the most impactful archetypes in the history of the game.
