ZW - Dragonic Halberd

The ZW - Dragonic Halberd was originally released as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG 2022 Tin of the Pharaoh's Gods, a collection designed to celebrate the history of the franchise by reprinting key cards from the previous year's major booster sets. This specific card serves as an evolution of the ZW (Zexal Weapon) archetype, which was originally introduced to support the Xyz Monsters used by the protagonist in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. The design philosophy behind this card focuses on the thematic mechanic of 'equipping' monsters from the hand or field onto a primary Xyz Monster to provide stat boosts and disruptive effects.

The artwork for the card features the distinct, high-tech, and often mechanical aesthetic common to the ZW series, emphasizing the weaponization of the monster archetype. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its utility in defensive plays, allowing a player to attach it directly from the hand to a Number monster to negate the opponent's effects. While the 2022 Tin version is a common reprint of its original debut, it remains a functional staple for enthusiasts of the Zexal playstyle who appreciate the card's role in maintaining board presence.
