Where it came from
Released in 2015, Anata wo Zutto Aishiteru is an animated feature film that serves as a sequel to the 2010 movie You Are Umasou. It is based on the popular Tyrannosaurus series of children's picture books by Tatsuya Miyanishi. The film continues the narrative exploration of themes like family, self-discovery, and the bonds between predators and prey in a prehistoric setting, maintaining the distinctive, gentle illustration style found in Miyanishi's original works.
The production was helmed by director Kazuhito Hara and produced by the animation studio TMS Entertainment. The design philosophy sought to translate the simple, expressive aesthetic of the source material into a 3D computer-animated format. While the visual style was a departure from the traditional hand-drawn look of the books, the project was intended to preserve the emotional core and moral storytelling that had made the series a staple of early childhood literature in Japan.
