Moena was a normal college girl until she discovered that she had special powers hidden within her body by her father. When Dark Mother and her army of sexy demom women threaten the virgins of the world, Moena transforms into the naked masked heroine Angel Blade. Moena's stepmother, the weightly endowed Kyoka, is kidnapped by Dark Mother. With the help of a team of barely dressed heroines, Angel Blade storms the demon's stronghold. With the help of the dark-skinned succubus Nail, a former villian, they reach the heart of evil and face off with Dark Mother herself.

Where it came from
Angel Blade Punish! was released in 2004 as an original video animation produced by Asahi Production. It serves as a continuation within the Angel Blade franchise, a series rooted in the magical girl genre with a distinct focus on adult-oriented themes and dark fantasy aesthetics. The production emerged during a period in the mid-2000s when independent studios were frequently adapting niche erotic visual novel properties into brief OVA series to capitalize on the growing domestic market for home video releases.
The character designs and visual style were intended to align with the established aesthetic of the Angel Blade multimedia project, which prioritized elaborate costume designs and high-contrast, dramatic lighting typical of the era's budget-conscious OVA market. While the series did not receive widespread critical acclaim, it remains a notable example of the transitional period in early 2000s Japanese animation where studios balanced traditional cel-inspired animation styles with the burgeoning integration of digital coloring techniques.
