Where it came from
Ano Yama ni Noborou yo, translated as Let's Climb That Mountain, was produced by Toei Animation as an original video animation intended to serve an educational and recreational purpose for a younger audience. Released during a period when Toei frequently partnered with organizations to create specialized content, the project was designed to emphasize the joys of outdoor activity and nature appreciation.
The production reflects the characteristic aesthetic of late 20th-century Toei television animation, focusing on clear, bright visuals and accessible storytelling. While it did not receive a wide commercial release comparable to the studio's major feature films or long-running franchises, it remains a recognized artifact of the studio's commitment to creating niche, purpose-driven content for television and home video markets.
