Argonavis AXIA

Argonavis AXIA was released in 2023 as a cinematic continuation of the multimedia project From Argonavis, which originated as a male-focused spin-off of the BanG Dream! franchise. Produced by studio SANZIGEN, the film serves as a narrative milestone for the titular band, Argonavis, focusing on their internal dynamics and professional evolution within the music industry. The production utilizes SANZIGEN's signature 3D CG animation style, which is carefully calibrated to replicate the fluid movements of live musical performances, a hallmark of their work in the idol and band anime genres.

The film's design and aesthetic were developed under the guidance of the project's creative leads, aiming to bridge the gap between high-energy concert sequences and intimate character-driven drama. By building upon the established lore from the previous television series, the design team sought to capture the grit and aspirations of the band members. Upon its theatrical release, the film was received as a focused exploration of the ensemble's camaraderie, appealing primarily to the dedicated existing fan base that had followed the project's evolution from its mobile game and concert roots.
