Where it came from
Arknights Xin Chun Hui: Lili Kurong is a short, festive animated production released in early 2023 to celebrate the Lunar New Year alongside the game's global and regional festivities. Produced by GEAR STUDIO, the piece serves as a promotional short designed to deepen the world-building of the Arknights universe while highlighting the unique aesthetics of the Lungmen-inspired setting during the holiday season.
The animation focuses on character-driven vignettes that emphasize the domestic and cultural side of the Arknights world, moving away from the usual tactical combat themes. GEAR STUDIO utilized a high-fidelity art style that remains consistent with the game’s official character illustrations, aiming to capture a nostalgic and warm atmosphere. The short was well-received by the community for its polished visual quality and its successful expansion of the game's lore and character interactions.
