BABY-HAMITANG

Baby-Hamitang is a recurring animated character originating from the South Korean studio Robot. Introduced in 2022, the character was developed as part of a digital-first strategy to engage younger audiences through short-form, high-energy animation. The design prioritizes a soft, rounded aesthetic with a minimalist color palette, reflecting contemporary trends in character design that emphasize immediate visual recognition and expressive, dialogue-free physical comedy.

The series serves as a testament to the studio's focus on non-verbal storytelling, allowing the character to bridge linguistic gaps for a global digital audience. Since its debut, the project has been noted for its seamless integration into social media platforms, where the character's whimsical antics are utilized in viral sticker sets and short video clips. Critics often point to this series as a quintessential example of how small, independent character-led franchises have successfully transitioned into multimedia IPs.
