BanG Dream! Poppin' Dream!

BanG Dream! Poppin' Dream! was released in 2022 as a feature-length cinematic installment in the expansive BanG Dream! multimedia franchise. Produced by studio SANZIGEN, the film serves as a direct sequel to the third season of the television anime, following the band Poppin'Party as they embark on an international tour in Guam. The production continues the studio's commitment to high-quality 3D computer-generated animation, which has become a signature aesthetic for the franchise's musical performances.

The film was directed by Masanori Matsuoka, who worked to balance the lighthearted, adventurous tone of a concert tour with the established character dynamics fans had followed since the project's inception. By centering the narrative on the band members' personal growth and their experiences abroad, the creators aimed to expand the scope of the BanG Dream! universe beyond the domestic stage. Upon its release, the film was received as a quintessential addition to the series, praised by the community for its vibrant visual direction and its faithful exploration of the characters' enduring bonds.
