The story of B-Daman is set in a world where the old west and mysticism collide. The people of the B-Dawolrd have played the sport of B-Daman since ancient times. While many are spectators of the sport only very few have what it takes to become a B-Daplayer and only one can become the B-Dachampion.
A young boy by the name of Yamato Delgado has been chosen to wield the most powerful B-Daman? COBALT BLADE. Yamato must use COBALT BLADE to compete in B-Daman tournaments and defeat the evil B-Daplayers of the Shadow Alliance. During his journey, Yamato meets Gray, Bull and Terry who become his friends and part of his B-Daman team.

Where it came from
Battle B-Daman originated as a 2004 television series produced by d-rights, serving as a tactical expansion of the long-running B-Daman marble-shooting toy franchise. The series was designed to breathe new life into the brand by incorporating competitive, high-stakes battle mechanics that mirrored the gameplay of the associated Takara merchandise, positioning the marbles not just as projectiles but as tools within a strategic sport.
The production sought to integrate traditional animation with early digital effects to heighten the intensity of the 'B-Daman' battles. It was received as a definitive entry in the 'hobby anime' genre, a category prevalent in the mid-2000s that aimed to bridge the gap between children's television programming and the physical toy market. The aesthetic choices prioritized sharp, industrial designs for the robots to ensure the physical toys remained the central focus for the audience.
