This is the tale of a well-known cartoonist who rose to fame thanks to his comic book.B.K. But after several years, he ran out of ideas and had to rely solely on abandoning his characters in order to draw attention. He was drawn into the realm of B. King as Wang Xiaoming after receiving an enigmatic phone call one day. As a result, Wang Xiaoming, who now possesses the ideas of the "creator," sets out on a fantastical journey that might be summed up as "God's shortcut, one step to heaven."

Where it came from
B.King was produced by the Chinese digital platform Bilibili as part of their initiative to expand their original animation portfolio. Released in the late 2010s, the ONA (Original Net Animation) was designed to capture the growing domestic interest in stylized, high-energy storytelling that blends urban fantasy elements with contemporary digital aesthetics. The production aimed to appeal to a younger demographic comfortable with fast-paced, episodic streaming formats.
The visual direction of the project reflects the studio's broader commitment to modernizing the visual language of Chinese animation through collaborative efforts with domestic talent. By emphasizing distinct character silhouettes and vibrant color palettes, the production team sought to carve out a recognizable identity within the competitive landscape of streaming platforms. Upon its release, it was noted primarily as a representative experiment in Bilibili's strategy to bolster its exclusive content library.
