Where it came from
Blood Lad: Kanketsu Kinen serves as an original net animation short released to commemorate the conclusion of the manga series written and illustrated by Yuuki Kodama. Produced by Studio NAZ, the project was intended to offer a brief, stylistic coda to the supernatural comedy that followed Staz C. Blood, an otaku vampire seeking to revive a human girl who wandered into his demon world territory.
The animation reflects the edgy, urban-fantasy aesthetic that defined the earlier television adaptation. While the main series explored a complex hierarchy of demon realms, this commemorative short focused on capturing the irreverent energy of the source material. It was received by fans as a nostalgic final touch, functioning more as a supplementary epilogue rather than a new narrative arc for the franchise.
