Where it came from
The New Summer Animation PV was produced by Yostar Pictures in 2022 to promote the seasonal 'Heatstroke 24/7' event within the Blue Archive mobile game. It was crafted as a high-quality promotional special to generate excitement for the game's summer update, specifically showcasing character redesigns and a vibrant, sun-drenched aesthetic that captured the community's interest in the game's evolving narrative and character dynamics.
The animation features the distinct character design sensibilities established by the game's lead artist, DoReMi, and the creative team at Nexon Games. By leaning into Yostar Pictures' penchant for fluid, expressive animation, the PV was designed to emphasize a lighthearted, comedic tone while highlighting the high production values associated with the game's media marketing. It was received warmly by the fanbase for its polished visuals and its ability to effectively translate the game's static character art into a dynamic, cinematic format.
