Blue Giant

Blue Giant is a 2023 animated feature film produced by Studio NUT and distributed by Toho, based on the acclaimed manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Ishizuka. The narrative centers on Dai Miyamoto, a teenager whose life is transformed by jazz, leading him to move to Tokyo with the ambitious goal of becoming the world's greatest saxophone player. The film was commissioned to capture the visceral, kinetic energy of jazz performance that defined the original print source material, focusing on the emotional resonance of the protagonist's journey and his relationships with bandmates.
