One day, six cards known as the "Six Desires" were born with the power to change fate.
Six fighters were chosen, and would come to possess those six cards. What awaited them was the “Fated Clash“, where they would fight each other until the end, and the last one standing would have any wish granted. A youth named Akina Myodo, who wants to help his frail sister, participates in the Fated Clash to have his wish granted.
And thus, he throws himself into battles with powerful fighters.

Where it came from
Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez launched in early 2024 as the latest major installment in the long-running multimedia franchise created by Bushiroad. Produced by the studio Kinema Citrus, the series marks a significant shift in the show's narrative tone, introducing a new protagonist, Akina Myodo, and a mysterious supernatural plot involving the 'Divinez' tournament. This production continues the franchise's strategy of pairing high-octane trading card gameplay with character-driven anime arcs to support the real-world card game ecosystem.
The visual design of Divinez maintains the sharp, vibrant aesthetic characteristic of modern Bushiroad productions, leaning heavily into the franchise's established lore while updating the character models for a more contemporary look. The animation direction emphasizes the intensity of the card battles through dynamic lighting and rapid-fire editing. Since its debut, the series has been received as a foundational pillar for the latest format of the card game, serving as both a narrative continuation and a marketing engine for the game's evolving mechanics.
