Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari Part 2

Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari Part 2 was released in 2017 as the second installment in a three-part film trilogy based on the popular mobile role-playing game developed by Sega. The project was conceived to commemorate the game's third anniversary, aiming to expand the title's narrative reach by adapting its sweeping fantasy storyline into a feature-length cinematic format. The production team sought to translate the game's intricate world-building and character roster into a coherent visual arc that would satisfy both established players and new audiences.

The animation was produced by Telecom Animation Film, a studio with a long history of craftsmanship, under the direction of Masashi Kudo. Kudo intended to bridge the gap between the game's static character art and a dynamic, high-stakes cinematic experience, emphasizing the emotional stakes of the conflict between the Volunteer Army and the Black Army. Upon its release, the film was noted for its commitment to the game's source material, though it was largely received as a niche entry intended primarily for the existing fan base of the franchise.
