However, a group of "cyborgs" has become weaponized, and a series of riots have occurred, plunging the galaxy into unprecedented turmoil. The culprit behind is a high-tech criminal organization codenamed "Illum".
In order to fight this evil force, the "Tacit Blue" investigation team led by Carl was established. Where it came from
Chenmo Zhi Lan is a web-based animated series produced by the Chinese studio Escape Velocity Animation. Released as an ONA (Original Net Animation), the project emerged from the growing landscape of independent Chinese digital animation, which utilizes serialized online distribution to reach niche audiences outside of traditional broadcast television networks.
The series focuses on intricate visual storytelling, reflecting the studio's broader commitment to blending stylized digital art with thematic depth. Its design and aesthetic choices are characteristic of the high-contrast, atmospheric production style championed by Escape Velocity to distinguish their work within the competitive domestic animation market.
