Chiisana Jam to Goblin no Opp

Chiisana Jam to Goblin no Opp was produced by Ekura Animal, a studio established in the late 1970s that frequently collaborated with major Japanese animation houses on television and feature projects. The film emerged during a period of experimentation within the Japanese animation industry, where studios sought to adapt whimsical, folklore-inspired children's stories into short-form features suitable for educational screening or niche theatrical release.

The animation style is characteristic of the studio's mid-career output, emphasizing gentle character designs and pastel-toned backgrounds meant to evoke a storybook aesthetic. While the film remained an obscure entry in the broader landscape of 1980s Japanese animation, it is remembered by enthusiasts as a representative example of the studio’s attempt to craft self-contained, lighthearted narratives that diverged from the more intense action-oriented series prevalent at the time.
