Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle is a 2025 television anime adaptation produced by Studio feel., based on the popular Japanese light novel series written by Hiromu. The series emerged during a period of sustained interest in 'normie-centric' high school romantic comedies, shifting the genre focus away from isolated outcasts toward the complexities of social hierarchy and popular culture. The narrative centers on Saku Chitose, a charismatic high school student whose popularity and social dexterity are challenged by a teacher’s request to assist a classmate in returning to school.

The visual direction for this production was handled by Studio feel., a house known for its character-driven animation in the slice-of-life genre. In adapting the light novel, the team aimed to balance the sharp, observational dialogue typical of the source material with a vibrant aesthetic that reflects the bustling energy of the characters' social lives. Upon its release, the series was received as a reflective take on the modern teen experience, noted specifically for its emphasis on the effort and intentionality required to navigate complex peer relationships.
