Where it came from
D.C.II S.S.: Da Capo II Second Season was released in 2008 as the direct television sequel to the 2007 adaptation of the visual novel series by Circus. Produced by the studio feel., the series serves as the conclusion to the second generation of the Da Capo narrative arc, which explores the complex, supernatural romance dynamics centered around the evergreen Kazami Academy.
The animation design sought to refine the aesthetic established in the first season while shifting the focus toward the dramatic resolutions of the series' core romantic entanglements. Like its predecessor, the show was primarily targeted at fans of the visual novel franchise, aiming to translate the game's branching storylines into a more linear, emotionally poignant narrative format that characterizes the genre of high-school romance anime from that era.
