Hailing from the prestigious noble house of Delico, Dali Delico is an elite member of the Blood Pact Council with a promising future. When the Blood Pact Council, the highest governing body for the Vamps, assigns a special mission to Dali, he flatly refuses it. Having lost patience, Gerhard, Dino, and Henrique, who are also Council members serving the same term as Dali, rush to the house of Delico to persuade him. What they witness there is Dali, taking care of an infant himself… Meanwhile, there has been a series of mysterious murders targeting Vamps. And Dali seems to have a history with Pendulum, an antisocial organization that's thought to be the mastermind behind these murders… This is the record of the nobless oblige scramble of child-rearing by the noble Vamps. Can they find the right balance of their absolute mission and childcare in this magnificent gothic world?!

Where it came from
Delico's Nursery was produced by the animation studio J.C.Staff and premiered in 2024 as part of the TRUMP series, a long-running multimedia project created by playwright Kenichi Suemitsu. The story is a prequel set within the gothic vampire-themed universe Suemitsu established on stage in 2009, focusing on the domestic and political complexities faced by high-ranking vampire aristocrats as they navigate the challenges of raising children. It represents a shift in the franchise's tone, blending the series' characteristic dark fantasy elements with the slice-of-life genre.
The production sought to expand the lore of the TRUMP world while maintaining the aesthetic continuity expected by fans of the stage plays. By casting the refined, often tragic figures of the vampire elite into the mundane roles of caregivers, the series aims to humanize its supernatural characters through character-driven drama. While it remains a niche entry for those uninitiated into the broader theatrical universe, critics have noted the series for its specific visual style and its commitment to the complex world-building Suemitsu has cultivated over the past decade.
