Detective Conan: The Private Eyes' Requiem

Released in 2006, Detective Conan: The Private Eyes' Requiem serves as the tenth feature film in the long-running anime franchise created by Gosho Aoyama. Produced by TMS Entertainment, the movie was conceived as a high-stakes anniversary celebration, gathering a vast ensemble of the series' recurring cast members to participate in a tense mystery set within the fictional Miracland theme park. The plot forces the protagonist, Conan Edogawa, and his rival, Heiji Hattori, to solve a complex case under a strict time limit, emphasizing the intricate deduction and collaborative tension that define the series' theatrical offerings.

The production sought to balance the film's celebratory tone with the darker, high-tension atmosphere synonymous with the franchise's most popular mysteries. Directed by Yasuichiro Yamamoto, the film was designed to appeal to both long-time devotees and general audiences by weaving together disparate characters into a singular narrative framework. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans for its ambitious scope and successful integration of numerous established characters, eventually becoming one of the higher-grossing installments in the series' history up to that point.
