Doraemon: Nobita no Jouki Jikansha

Doraemon: Nobita no Jouki Jikansha is a feature-length entry in the long-running Doraemon film franchise, produced under the stewardship of Shogakukan. Released in 2027, the film follows the series' established tradition of blending science fiction elements with heartfelt narratives centered on the bond between Nobita and the futuristic robotic cat, Doraemon. The title, translating to Nobita's Steam Locomotive, hints at a thematic focus on historical technology set against the backdrop of the show's signature time-traveling adventures.

The film was developed as part of the studio's ongoing commitment to modernizing the franchise for contemporary audiences while maintaining the aesthetic sensibilities established by creator Fujiko F. Fujio. It represents a continuation of the high-production values seen in recent cinematic iterations, utilizing digital animation techniques to render the intricate mechanical designs of the titular locomotive. Like its predecessors, the project was designed to balance lighthearted escapism with the educational and moral themes that have defined the franchise since its inception in the late 1960s.
