Where it came from
Dou Hun Wei Zhi Xuan Yue Qi Yuan, also known as Soul Land: Origin of the Moon, was produced by Yi Chen Animation as part of the broader Soul Land franchise expansion. The project was conceived to explore specific narrative threads within the established fantasy world of Tang Jia San Shao's original web novels, aiming to satisfy audience demand for deeper lore and expanded character backstories.
The animation style and design choices were crafted to align with the high-fidelity aesthetic established by the primary 3D adaptations of the series. By utilizing sophisticated motion capture and rendering techniques, the production team sought to maintain visual continuity while providing a distinct atmospheric tone that set this particular entry apart from the main narrative arc.
