Where it came from
Dragon Ball Z: Atsumare! Goku's World, also known as Dragon Ball Z: Gather Together! Goku's World, was produced by Toei Animation and released in 1992. It is a unique interactive educational special created for the Terebikko system, a specialized console that allowed viewers to interact with the narrative through a telephone-style handset, reflecting the experimental era of Japanese home entertainment during the early nineties.
The narrative follows Goku and his friends as they use a time machine to travel through various moments in the Dragon Ball Z timeline, encountering past villains and allies. The animation maintains the signature aesthetic of the era's television production, designed specifically to be modular and responsive to the viewer's input, serving as a distinct technical artifact within the extensive Dragon Ball franchise.
