Dragon Knight 4-ever

Dragon Knight 4-ever is a two-episode original video animation (OVA) released in 1998 by the studio Pink Pineapple. It serves as a narrative continuation of the adult-oriented Dragon Knight franchise, which originated from a popular series of Japanese visual novel games. By the late 1990s, the franchise had established a significant footprint in the direct-to-video market, capitalizing on the aesthetic tropes and character archetypes popularized by the fantasy-adventure role-playing games of the era.

The animation style reflects the standard production quality of Pink Pineapple's late-nineties output, characterized by stylized character designs intended to translate the game's sprite-based visuals into a more fluid, albeit budget-conscious, animated format. Like many entries in the genre during this period, the production prioritized episodic storytelling within a familiar high-fantasy setting. While it found a niche audience among dedicated collectors of 1990s OVA media, the title remains a quintessential example of the era's focus on adapting game properties for the home video market.
