Ji-U is a kind-hearted young man who harnesses the lightning quick reflexes of a cat to secretly make the world a better place – one saved little child or foster pet at a time. Kayden is a secret agent on the run, who finds himself stuck in the body of a…um…decidedly fat old fluffy cat. Together, armed with Ji-U’s super powers and Kayden’s uber-smarts, they’re out to fight those forces who would let evil rule this world. That is, if they can stand each other long enough to get the job done.

Where it came from
Eleceed originated as a popular South Korean webtoon series written by Son Je-ho and illustrated by ZHENA, initially serialized on Naver Webtoon starting in 2018. The story follows Jiwoo, a young man with lightning-fast reflexes who discovers a hidden world of superpowered individuals, and Kayden, a powerful, displaced cat-shifter. Its blend of high-octane martial arts action and lighthearted character dynamics garnered a significant international following, eventually leading to its adaptation into a television series produced by Dandelion Animation Studio.
The animation production by Dandelion Animation Studio aimed to capture the kinetic, fluid combat choreography that defined the webtoon’s visual identity. By translating the dynamic panel layouts of the original source material into a frame-by-frame animated format, the series sought to maintain the high energy and comedic timing that fans of the original work expected. The adaptation was received as a faithful expansion of the source material, emphasizing the distinct personality of its lead characters while expanding the series' reach to a broader audience of animation enthusiasts.
