Enoshimans

The Enoshimans is a distinct piece of promotional animation released in 2017 by the Japanese creative studio ODDJOB. Commissioned by the City of Fujisawa, the ONA—Original Net Animation—was designed as a tourism campaign to highlight the local charm and landmarks of the Enoshima area. By utilizing a vibrant, character-driven aesthetic, the project sought to bridge the gap between traditional municipal outreach and contemporary youth-oriented media, aiming to make the destination feel dynamic and approachable to a younger demographic.

The animation features a distinctively stylized visual identity curated by the ODDJOB team, known for their experimental approach to commercial art and graphic design. The creative direction prioritized a fast-paced, rhythmic sequence that emphasized the coastal atmosphere and the unique cultural identity of the Enoshima coastline. Upon its release, the project was recognized within industry circles for its successful integration of indie-animation sensibilities into the structured, often cautious world of Japanese regional tourism marketing.
