Where it came from
The 'Fake' commercial film for Fate/Grand Order was produced by Studio Folium as a high-concept promotional piece intended to elevate the brand's visual identity. Released to generate buzz among the franchise's dedicated fanbase, the film serves as a stylistic departure from traditional mobile game advertising by utilizing intricate animation techniques and atmospheric storytelling to hint at the game's broader narrative themes.
The production sought to blend cinematic flair with the established aesthetic of the Type-Moon universe, focusing on moody lighting and detailed character rendering to distinguish it from standard promotional trailers. By emphasizing artistic depth over direct gameplay footage, the creators aimed to spark curiosity and speculation within the community, resulting in a well-received project that is frequently cited by enthusiasts for its unique visual presentation and technical execution.
