Where it came from
This special was produced by Aniplex in 2023 as part of the promotional material for the Fate/Grand Order franchise. It serves as an extension of the short-form comedy series Fujimaru Ritsuka wa Wakaranai, which adapts the web manga by Tamine. The project was created to provide a lighthearted, chibi-style look at the chaotic day-to-day operations of Chaldea, offering a comedic departure from the series' typically dense narrative stakes.
The animation style emphasizes a minimalist, expressive aesthetic that prioritizes visual gags and rapid-fire dialogue. By featuring various Servants in absurd, domestic scenarios, the production aimed to foster community engagement and celebrate the game's long-running tenure. It was received by fans as a festive, tongue-in-cheek side project that successfully leveraged the existing charm of the manga's character designs.
