Tatsuko of class 5-1 is really excited about the upcoming school sports festival, her proposal for a new "Eel Scooping" event is less than enthusiastically received though, especially by Suzuka. Illya mentions the main event dance to Miyu, and as teacher Taiga Fujimura points out, it entails a huge reward, but will require quite a bit of practice.
And so the close friends: sarcastic Nanaki, level-headed Suzuka, excitable Tatsuko, energetic Illya, shy Mimi, and reserved but athletic Miyu are off to win the dance event for the honour of their class and for Fujimura, who seems to have some saucy bet going on that she most definitely needs to win, or so the girls misunderstand.

Where it came from
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya: Dance at the Sports Festival! was produced by Silver Link as an original video animation released in 2014. It serves as a lighthearted expansion of the Prisma Illya series, which reimagines characters from the Fate/stay night franchise within a magical girl context. This specific installment was crafted to provide fans with a comedic, slice-of-life diversion from the more intense narrative arcs found in the primary television seasons.
The animation reflects the studio's established aesthetic for the series, emphasizing bright character designs and expressive, high-energy sequences. Helmed by the creative team behind the series' television broadcast, the OVA was designed to capitalize on the character dynamics between Illyasviel von Einzbern and her peers during a school sports event. It was generally received as a playful, fan-focused addition to the franchise, maintaining the visual consistency and tone that defined the studio's broader work on the Prisma Illya adaptations.
