Fei Ren Zai: Xianzhi Pian

Fei Ren Zai: Xianzhi Pian, or 'Non-Human: Foresight Chapter,' emerged as part of the widely popular Fei Ren Zai webcomic and animation franchise. Produced by studio FENZ, this ONA series centers on Chinese mythological figures attempting to navigate the mundane challenges of modern urban life. The series serves as a continuation of the franchise’s commitment to blending traditional folklore with contemporary workplace comedy, maintaining the signature aesthetic that fans have come to associate with the studio's adaptation of the original work by Yiteng-tiao.

The production maintains the visual style established in the early seasons, characterized by clean lines and a comedic, expressive character design that mirrors the webcomic's source material. The series was designed to provide shorter, focused narrative arcs that highlight the eccentricities of characters like Jiu Yue and Ao Lie as they adapt to human society. It was well-received by the existing fanbase for its ability to preserve the dry, self-aware humor that defines the franchise, reinforcing the series' position as a staple of modern Chinese digital animation.
