Fight Song

Fight Song was written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Rachel Platten in 2015. Platten composed the anthem during a period of personal and professional uncertainty, intending it to serve as a self-affirming mantra to bolster her resilience. The song was crafted as a pop ballad designed to resonate with listeners facing their own obstacles, utilizing a triumphant, soaring production style that emphasizes empowerment and persistence.

Upon its release, the song became a global success, largely driven by its relatable message and melodic hooks. It gained significant cultural traction when it was adopted by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as an official theme, which brought the track into the center of political discourse. While it received some critical commentary for its mainstream pop sensibilities, the song is widely recognized for its enduring popularity in media and its role as a contemporary standard for motivational music.
