Where it came from
Fly With Me was released in 2009 as the lead single from the album Lines, Vines and Trying Times by the American pop-rock band Jonas Brothers. The track was written by Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas alongside their frequent collaborator Greg Garbowsky, reflecting a transition in the group's sound toward more mature, pop-oriented arrangements as they moved away from their earlier punk-pop influences.
The song was composed to capture a romantic, optimistic sentiment, featuring a distinctive soul-pop influence and a horn section that set it apart from the band's previous discography. Upon its release, it was promoted through high-profile television performances and became a staple of the group's late-2000s era, receiving generally favorable reviews from contemporary music critics who noted its polished production and melodic appeal.
