Fujimi 2-choume Koukyougakudan: Kanrei Zensen/Ame nochi Arashi

Fujimi 2-choume Koukyougakudan, or Fujimi Orchestra, originated as a popular series of light novels by Kou Yoneda before being adapted into this two-part original video animation series released by Bee Media. The production sought to capture the intense, often volatile romantic dynamic between the series' protagonists, Kei Tonoin and Yuuki Morimura, set against the backdrop of a demanding university orchestra. The animation reflects the aesthetic trends of late 1990s and early 2000s boys' love media, focusing on character-driven melodrama and the specific tropes of the classical music setting.

The adaptation was directed by Mikiya Mochizuki and produced with the intention of satisfying a dedicated fanbase that had followed the source material through its various drama CDs and print iterations. Design choices were aimed at maintaining the character models familiar to readers, prioritizing expressive facial animations to convey the emotional turmoil and reconciliation central to the plot of Kanrei Zensen and Ame nochi Arashi. While the production is modest in scope, it remains a notable entry in the history of independent boys' love OVA releases, valued by enthusiasts for its faithfulness to the original narrative arc.
