The franchise was conceived as a cross-media initiative aimed at revitalizing interest in futsal through a combination of a mobile game, live events, and an anime series. The television adaptation was produced by studio Diomedea, which tasked the production team with balancing high-energy sports sequences with the character-driven narrative typical of idol-adjacent multimedia projects.

The series design focuses on a sprawling ensemble cast representing various high school teams, with character designs originally drafted by several different manga artists, including Mizuki Kawashita and Takako Shimura, to provide distinct visual identities for each school's squad.
