Where it came from
Garden -The Two Flowers of the Takamine Family- THE ANIMATION is a two-episode adult OVA series released by the studio Pink Pineapple in 2022. It serves as an animated adaptation of the adult visual novel series originally developed by the developer studio Citrus, focusing on the complex domestic dynamics and romantic entanglements centered around the Takamine family characters.
The animation was produced to capitalize on the existing popularity of the source material within the adult anime niche, emphasizing the studio's signature style for character-driven erotic narratives. As is common for Pink Pineapple productions, the creative direction prioritized faithfulness to the source artwork, aiming to translate the visual novel's static character sprites into fluid, narrative-driven sequences for a dedicated audience of the genre.
