Glorious Day

Glorious Day was produced by Folium as part of their commitment to high-quality, tactile independent publishing. The piece emerged from a movement within the small-press design community that prioritized artisanal printing methods, heavy-weight paper stocks, and a return to the physical experience of reading in an increasingly digital age. Folium sought to create objects that served as both literary works and aesthetic centerpieces, emphasizing intentional craftsmanship over mass-market efficiency.

The design of the work leans into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing negative space and thoughtful typography to guide the reader’s eye. It was conceptualized by a collective of graphic designers and editors who aimed to evoke a sense of calm and temporal reflection. Upon its release, it was noted by design enthusiasts for its restrained color palette and the structural integrity of its binding, garnering appreciation for its success in balancing form with function.
