Go-chan.: Moko to Koori no Ue no Yakusoku

Go-chan.: Moko to Koori no Ue no Yakusoku was produced by SynergySP and released in 2018 as part of a series of animated features centered on Go-chan, the official mascot of the Japanese television network TV Asahi. The character was originally created to promote the network’s channel branding, and these films function as promotional vehicles designed to endear the mascot to a younger family audience through simple, moralistic storytelling.

The film follows the established visual language of the franchise, focusing on bright, accessible character designs and straightforward animation techniques typical of mid-budget television-led projects. While the production is primarily a niche regional endeavor tied to corporate identity, it fits within a long-standing Japanese tradition of using anthropomorphic characters to bridge the gap between network advertising and children's programming.
