A cool, overly serious and straight faced woman, Kisaragi Miyuki, gives off an unapproachable aura to her students. She is very stern, doesn’t take a joke well, and distances herself whenever possible. There is a rumor however that she is the complete opposite in her private life, and supposedly when not at school, she’s a clumsy airhead. This rumor catches the attention of one of her students, Miwa Itsuki, who has a problematic personality that gives him the desire to tease woman with faulty characters like his sensei. When he catches Miyuki shopping at the convenience store which he works part-time, he can’t hold back his sadistic tendencies any longer…

Where it came from
Haitoku no Kyoukai, released in 2021 by the studio Nur, emerged as a specialized entry within the niche market for adult-oriented Japanese animation. The title fits into a broader tradition of studios focusing on short-form OVA projects that emphasize character-driven narratives within compact, episodic formats. Like many works from studios of this scale, its production was characterized by a focus on character design and specific genre tropes favored by its dedicated audience.
The production relies on the established visual language common to contemporary independent animation studios in Japan. While specific details regarding the primary creative staff remain largely behind-the-scenes, the project follows the standard industry practice of prioritizing aesthetic consistency over expansive world-building. Upon its release, it functioned primarily as a direct-to-consumer digital and physical product, garnering attention within specific enthusiast circles interested in the studio's evolving catalog.
