Where it came from
Hajimari wa Kimi no Sora serves as the debut single for Liella!, the central idol group introduced as part of the Love Live! Superstar!! project. Released in 2021 by Lantis, the track was crafted to introduce the new school idol unit to the franchise's fanbase, embodying the series' characteristic themes of youthful ambition, connection, and the pursuit of dreams. The production was managed by Sunrise, which utilized the single as a foundational piece of multimedia storytelling to bridge the group's anime appearances with their live musical performances.
The song was designed to highlight the distinct vocal harmony of the five original Liella! members, setting a melodic tone that would define the group's early era. Composition and arrangement were handled by industry veterans within the anime music circuit, aiming to strike a balance between high-energy pop sensibilities and the emotional resonance expected of the Love Live! brand. Upon its release, the single was received as a fresh entry in a long-standing franchise, garnering attention for both its polished production values and the accompanying animated music video produced by Sunrise.
