Hamaji Youhei, a high school freshman, lives his life aimlessly, lazing around all day. He can't keep up with his studies, no good at sports and won't stick with anything for long. Besides that he's a pervert who's continuously rejected by girls. A sophomore convinces him into joining a club where he could lunge at girls, fondling and touching all he wanted. Thus he joined the Water Polo Club.
Can Youhei, who never sticks with anything for long, find his place in this club?

Where it came from
Hantsu × Trash was produced by Hoods Entertainment and released as an OVA in 2015. Adapted from the seinen manga series by Hiyoko Kobayashi, the story follows a high school student named Yohei Hamaji who finds himself recruited into his school's unpopular ping pong club. The narrative leans heavily into the ecchi genre, blending sports competition with slapstick comedy and fanservice elements characteristic of mid-2010s seinen adaptations.
The animation direction for the project focused on translating Kobayashi's distinct character designs into a functional, limited-animation format suitable for an OVA release. While the series was noted by enthusiasts of the original manga for its faithfulness to the source material's visual style, it remains a niche entry in the Hoods Entertainment catalog, received primarily by the existing fanbase of the print edition rather than the broader anime viewing audience.
