Where it came from
The 2018 Holiday Advent Calendar was released by the luxury skincare brand Kiehl's as part of their seasonal marketing campaign. Designed to showcase a selection of their most popular grooming and skincare products, the calendar served as a festive gift set that encouraged brand discovery throughout the month of December. It was positioned as a premium offering for loyal customers looking to experience a range of the brand's formulas in travel-ready sizes.
The visual identity for this specific edition was created in collaboration with the graphic artist Andrew Bannecker. His aesthetic approach for the 2018 holiday collection focused on vibrant, whimsical illustrations featuring playful characters and geometric patterns, intended to modernize the brand's classic apothecary image. Upon release, the set was well received by beauty enthusiasts and critics for its colorful packaging and the practical variety of high-quality products included within the numbered drawers.
